Annabelle Priftis has written her latest song about Nelson Mandela. The song titled, 'Colour blind' is a moving tribute about the life of this extraordinary man. A study into the lives of Bob Geldolf and Bono, lead her to discover this truly inspirational man. Her first performance at a fundraiser for the Reach foundation had an noticeable impact, lots of watery eyes, and stunned & shocked faces. Annabelle hopes the song inspires lots of people to understand Mandela's message.
As the line in her song says... I will never forget that day I heard you say, don't look the other way, cure the hunger.
We will put the song on Myspace as soon as we create a myspace space!!!!
Annabelle also has co written a song with the funkiest dude in town James Holland. The two created this fun, upbeat tune in an afternoon together. James said what do you want to write a song about Annabelle....Let's just have some fun............ Pink beach was born; being Annabelle's fav colour and fav place ........... I love James and I hope to learn more from him soon.
Another song just completed Annabelle wrote about a young artist called Akianne........Look this girl up on Google........... she is my age and she is unbelievable.
I hope to get out more and watch other performers and also to keep being inspired by the inspirational!!!!
I am a lucky girl because I am surrounded by great friends, awesome teachers and my family are so supportive. I feel grateful to have so many people who support me and believe in me....... Everyone deserves what I have...........
Sometimes I feel too busy, but mostly I feel lucky and loved. I have my music everyday and hopefully I can encourage people to do something for someone less fortunate too.
