Australian Teen Idol Winner

Congratulations Annabelle on being the second place winner in Australian Teen Idol...

What's Annabelle been up to?

Annabelle has been very busy with year 8 school work and I am pleased to report she is doing well!

Over the last holidays Annabelle went to Sydney to re record her Nelson Mandela Song called Colourblind with well known  international producer Audius. It was an amazing experience for Belle. She reports, she learnt so many new things about herself.

Audius loved Belle and wants to continue the relationship by writing a few songs with her in the near future.

Annabelle travelled around Sydney and Brisbane working with some fantastic musicians, mentors,producers and performers. The trip was about developing her style, co -writing and living her dream. She had a great time, doing a photoshoot modeling Mambo and has come home with three new songs including a duet with a former Idol finalist.... more on this later as the songs develop further than demo stage!

Since Belle has returned to Melbourne she has fronted a video for Variety, which will be shown in America shortly.

So as you can see Annabelle has been busy, studying, singing, practising her piano and bass, song writing, videopresenting and managing squeezing in fun....

Annabelle is well on her way to success and is looking forward to the future. She has plans! Big Plans!

Congratulations Belle on an outstanding year!

Annabelle Priftis is my sister she is only 13 and she is amazing, she continues to achieve the highest awards and this year she performed for HRH Prince Edward.

Annabelle goes to a fantastic school called korowa Anglican girls school, there she is supported and loved.    PS Great report   Belle!

Annabelle's vocal coach is David Jaanz. Annabelle has a great amount of respect for David. The two have a great relationship and also perform together occasionally producing a unique sound.

Annabelle has just started working with Steve Sedergreen  a well known Jazz artist and musical director. The two have already began blending styles and working on musical composition.

Annabelle was awarded three awards at this years showcase performance at Chapel off Chapel including a Music Industry Award from  Sound Academy Recording Studio's, she will soon be recording her original song Colourblind in Sydney. Congratulations Belle, your hard work is working!

Annabelle says, I am grateful that I am surrounded by the best teachers, the best family & friends, but also the best communities and organizations. When someone believes in you anything is possible. I hope that one day I can make you all proud! God Bless everyone and best wishes for 2007!

National Australia Bank requests Annabelle to write them a song

Last week the National Australia Bank requested Annabelle to write them a song. Within a week Annabelle composed the lyrics and performed the song to Nab Staff at the Telsta Dome, many of the attendees commented that it was the highlight of the event.

Wow!!! Annabelle did an amazing job all in a week when she had three major performances to do.

Next week she is being flown to Perth to sing at a very special private function.

Annabelle workshops with the 2006 Australian Idols at Reach...

  Last Thursday Annabelle shared a remarkable workshop with this years Aussie Idols. At a workshop for  100 lucky Melbourne teenagers. I had an amazing time at the Reach foundation... It is such a special place for kids to be inspired to reach their fullest potential.

Hi my name is Annabelle Priftis and I am writing to thank you for the experience at Reach. Meeting the Australian Idols was incredible for me because I share a similar dream to them.  I am a singer/ song writer myself and I hope to make a positive difference with my songs too.

When the Idols walked in the room with kids from Reach everyone went berserk including me! I was so excited! I couldn’t actually believe that the Idols were about 2 meters away from me!

The day was all about raising everyone’s self confidence and I think it helped everyone in different areas. It helped me believe in myself a lot more and I felt a lot more confident.

We got up close and personal with the Idols. I had a long chat with Chris Murphy and he was really nice and funny.

I also got to talk to Bobby about our shared dream to be free to create beautiful music. He asked me about my songs and my performing. I told him I wanted to be as a person who gave her all and helped change the world.

I’m happy that I got a chance to meet them! They were all kind, and generous of their time. They were all very special people who deserve their opportunity to shine. I hope one day that could be me too! Good luck to them all. I have met Mark Holden before and he is really very nice too.

The day was great and I really enjoyed being a part of it. After meeting the idols, the feeling was absolutely amazing and after that day I decided that I was going to find out more about Reach and join. I would like to help out Reach if I can one day too

Annabelle has been asked to return to the Frankston Festival of Lights and she is the spokesperson for the event.

Last year Annabelle performed at the Festival of lights for the people of Frankston and she loved it.

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I extend to you an invitation to once again take part in the Frankston Christmas Festival of Lights. This year's event will take place on Saturday 25 November 2006 between the hours of 5.00pm and 9.45pm.

Annabelle, your performance at last year's event was remarkable and spellbinding for all who were lucky enough to witness it.  Brett Kingman Events Manager City of Frankston.

Annabelle will be back again this year with a few of her friends to entertain the crowd.

Annabelle sings for HRH The Earl of Wessex as part of the Commonwealth Games Royal visit.

Annabelle opened 'The Duke of Edinburgh Awards' Royal Reception Gala Dinner', held at Hotel Sofitel Melbourne on March 20Th, 2006.

"This opportunity was amazing for me I am so blessed to have been asked to be part of such a special Melbourne event. I love my city!"

Annabelle Joined the Yarra Ranges Children's Choir in the opening of the evening. YVCC is open to all children from all backgrounds. Being disadvantaged or having a disability is no barrier for lovers of singing. Annabelle was proud to sing with this amazing choir.~!

Annabelle returned to the stage a little later in the evening to perform a very special song about a desire that all things are possible.

"It's going to be a great experience performing together - she was so easy to work with.   I was really pleased (but not surprised) at how quickly my kids warmed to her, especially the younger ones. "

I have had the best year at my school this year. I consider myself very fortunate to have made so many awesome friends.  Everyone made me feel welcome and accepted from the first day. I have learnt so much from all my amazing friends and teachers. I would like them all to know that am so grateful. My teacher 'Dearest' is someone I will always respect and admire. She is wise, thoughtful and kind. All the teachers at Korowa are special, they are all people I am glad to know. Anytime I have needed help or support with something I have received it. I would especially like to also thank Mrs Barnes for always having an open door and sharing some of her  music knowledge with me. I hope God continues to bless my truly amazing school.
